Contact & Practical Information
Requesting Support
Requesting support is a brave and significant step. If this feels like the right time, I encourage you to get in touch.
You can get in touch by emailing me directly.
email: contact@rmaiseycounselling.co.uk
All messages are confidential, and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
I offer an initial call of up to 20 minutes for you to discuss your concerns, what you hope to gain from the work and to see if we can arrange a mutually convenient time for an initial session.
Location
CUPAR– I work from a consulting room in the centre of the town, a short walk from the train station. I am easily accessible from Glenrothes, Dundee, St Andrews and other locations nearby.
ONLINE – I offer sessions online to those who are not able to attend in person
Accessibility – I am on the second floor of a building without a lift. Please let me know if this is a problem as I may be able to make alternative arrangements.
Fees
Cupar £65
Online £65
In each case, I offer a free initial phone call of up to 20 minutes for you to discuss your concerns and what you hope to gain from the work, as well as to check your availability.
I offer a limited number of reduced-fee sessions for individuals who cannot afford the full fee. Please enquire when making contact.
Sessions
The first session is about getting a better sense of what you’d like from therapy, and whether I might be the right person to help you. If it feels right to go ahead, we would usually meet for a specific number of sessions to begin with, after which we jointly assess our progress and decide whether further sessions would be helpful.
If you need to cancel a session, I ask that you give me a week’s notice. With less than a week’s notice, I will ask you to pay for this unless we can find a mutually convenient alternative time that week. My intention is to offer the best balance between consistency and flexibility.
Confidential
I treat the information you disclose to me as confidential. There are some exceptions to keeping confidentiality in relation to duty of care and these will be explained to you in the first session. My privacy policy also gives further information on confidentiality.
